ALPLA, a global plastic packaging manufacturer, needed a more efficient way to manage its complex new product development process—which involves global teams, rigorous quality standards and can take 6–12 months from concept to production. Its legacy SharePoint/InfoPath solution lacked workflow, data integration and the flexibility to adapt quickly, creating visibility and collaboration challenges across locations.

Working with smartpoint IT consulting, ALPLA implemented Nintex K2 Five to create an end-to-end process of 220 SmartForms and 13 workflows used by 900 users in 47 countries. The solution improved project visibility, collaboration and traceability for audits, allowed quick process updates without disrupting 24/7 operations, and helped ALPLA bring new packaging designs to production on time.
