Landis+Gyr, a global smart-grid and smart-metering company, faced slow, error-prone user onboarding as inconsistent Active Directory metadata and manual provisioning created help‑desk bottlenecks and approval delays. With rapid growth and operations across 30 countries, IT needed a reliable, consistent way to manage new hires, changes and off‑boarding.
Working with partner WebVine, Landis+Gyr implemented Nintex Workflow and Forms on a hybrid SharePoint/Office 365 platform to automate Active Directory setup, Office 365 licensing and hardware/software provisioning via three core forms (New User, Change User, Termination). The automation standardized processes, improved data consistency, cut provisioning time from one–two weeks to under an hour, freed help‑desk resources and delivered an estimated AU$548,000 in savings over a recent 60‑day period.
