A Nintex Case Study
Hawke’s Bay Regional Council, the regional government body in New Zealand responsible for waterway safety, needed a faster, more accurate way to gather and enter water testing data. Field scientists collected as many as 50 samples a day using paper forms that were prone to mud, wind, loss and double data entry, delaying decision-making and public safety communication.
The council deployed Nintex Forms, Nintex Workflow and Nintex Mobile integrated with SharePoint/SQL to replace paper processes and automate data capture. The solution eliminated paper, improved data accuracy, saved roughly 200–300 hours in a five‑month trial (about 300 hours per year), accelerated public reporting, and freed staff to focus on community engagement, education and other higher‑value work.
