NIF clears goal of securing documents with Nintex assist

The Norwegian Olympic and Paralympic Committee and Confederation of Sports (NIF) — a government-funded nonprofit managing 3.5 million members (90% children) across 100 local organizations — needed to simplify staff and member onboarding and secure internal documents after years on legacy systems (SharePoint 2003, Hummingbird) left files scattered on drives, email and Dropbox and exposed unknown security risks. The organization also needed a consistent, easy-to-use solution that volunteers with limited tech skills could operate without IT help.

NIF implemented about 1,500 Nintex workflows and forms to automate onboarding, provisioning (Exchange, Lync, Active Directory), approvals, and document library permissions across sites. The change made permissions easy for nontechnical users, eliminated prior security gaps, cut new-member sign-up from weeks to under an hour, and saves roughly 800 hours and €80,000 annually.
