Managing risks to improve lives of people with disabilities

WALK is an Irish charity that supports people with disabilities and, after several years of growth, needed to produce, share and update many more personal risk assessments across a wider geographic area. The organization found its initial off‑the‑shelf risk solution unsuitable and required an automated, scalable approach to manage vital person‑centred plans and protect vulnerable adults.

With help from an IT partner, WALK implemented an end‑to‑end workflow on Nintex K2 Cloud to create, share and update personal risk assessments. The system standardized assessment formats, governed access to confidential information, and was extended to corporate risks; managers can now see color‑coded risks across 14 residential homes, enabling faster, better‑informed decisions and improving safety and independence for the people they support.
