A Nintex Case Study
Kiama Municipal Council, on Australia’s South Coast, provides a wide range of services from government functions to holiday parks and aged care. Many of its processes were undocumented, creating inefficiencies and unclear responsibilities; the council needed to map what it actually did and apply lean methods to identify improvement opportunities.
The council implemented Nintex Promapp quickly, ran executive and staff sessions, and trained internal champions to sustain the work. In 12 months they mapped over 200 processes, recovered roughly one full-time equivalent of non-value-adding work, cut supplier-registration time by about four hours each (≈200 hours annually), and reduced some service times (e.g., tree-pruning approvals) from 48 to 18 days, while building staff ownership and an ongoing culture of improvement and customer-informed service design.
