A Nintex Case Study
Genesis Energy, a New Zealand state-owned generator and retailer supplying electricity, gas and LPG to 670,000 customers with over 1,000 employees, needed to capture critical corporate knowledge and standardize practices when its externally contracted contact centre was brought in‑house and the business prepared for partial privatization. The company faced inconsistent regional processes and the risk of losing institutional know‑how, so accurate, documented processes were required for due diligence, consistency and efficiency.
Genesis implemented Nintex Promapp with vendor training and support and rolled it out across trading and wholesale operations, health & safety and IT. The tool—aligned with Lean Six Sigma—helped simplify processes to clear 7–8 steps, eliminate regional variations, retain knowledge and provide a launchpad for continuous improvement and measurability, delivering increased process standardization, time savings and more consistent, auditable operations.
