Fulton County Schools calls on Nintex for digital transformation

Fulton County Schools, one of Georgia’s oldest and largest districts with about 96,700 students across 105 schools and more than 14,000 staff, needed to modernize numerous manual, paper-based processes—from grant approvals to the STEAM Academy student application—so coordinators could manage high volumes of requests more efficiently and track status across the system.

Using Nintex Workflows and Nintex Forms integrated with SharePoint and the district CRM, the district digitized the STEAM application into an anonymous online form, automated approvals, and added notifications and tracking via a SharePoint list. The solution eliminated paper forms, improved visibility into application status, and processed more than 200 STEAM applications digitally in the first year, while being easily adaptable for other needs (class-size exceptions, inventory, site visits), accelerating the district’s broader digital transformation.
