A Nintex Case Study
The Fisheries Research and Development Corporation (FRDC) is an Australian co-funded body that awards research grants to support sustainable management of the country’s fishing sectors. Faced with a slow, costly bespoke application system and the need to speed up requests and reduce reliance on external developers, FRDC required a more dynamic, easy-to-change portal to manage high volumes of funding applications.
FRDC implemented Nintex K2 Five to build an online grant portal and external user manager that integrates with Microsoft Dynamics CRM, SharePoint and Exchange and enables low‑code, self-service process changes. The new solution hit a six‑month rollout, drove 100 user adoptions in the first week (about a 50% increase in adoption within weeks), and delivered roughly 70% savings in initial development costs and 45% ongoing annual savings while streamlining administration and improving productivity.
