A Nintex Case Study
Berglandmilch, Austria’s largest dairy group, faced a complex, paper-based packaging change process—managing roughly 6,000 packaging variants and about 300 changes per month—requiring input from up to 15 people across multiple departments and external designers. The lack of visibility meant managers spent hours chasing status updates by phone and email, risking costly printing errors, production delays and food waste given the short shelf life of its products.
Using Nintex K2 Five, Berglandmilch automated the packaging-change workflow and integrated it with SAP and Microsoft/Office 365, extending tasks to external partners for seamless collaboration. The solution gives stakeholders real-time transparency, halves the time on many tasks, and saves about 2 hours per change—roughly 3,600 changes a year—totaling an estimated 7,200 hours saved annually, while reducing errors and improving compliance.
