CEZ Group uses Nintex to power global business improvements

CEZ Group, a Czech energy conglomerate operating more than 40 companies across nuclear, hydro, coal, solar, wind and biomass power, needed to standardize and accelerate business improvements—especially health and safety processes—and respond quickly to rapidly changing COVID-19 legislation. The challenge was to automate and scale workflows across diverse business units while maintaining compliance and operational continuity.

Using Nintex (deployed from 2015), CEZ created over 3,000 workflows and 3,500 forms to streamline processes: a health and safety workflow helped action more than 7,000 recommendations in under three years, a COVID reporting process for 28,000 employees was delivered in two days and updated rapidly as rules changed, and contract and reporting automations cut paper use and saved at least 45 working days annually from one workflow. The platform also empowered business units to build and maintain solutions with minimal central IT support.
