Applied Technical Services (ATS) is a 700-employee engineering testing, inspection and consulting firm with 28 U.S. locations and sustained 15–20% annual growth. ATS struggled with fractured information storage, departmental silos and a legacy portal that left document creation, data workflows and access to project records inconsistent across thousands of active projects.
Working with Abel Solutions, ATS deployed SharePoint 2013 and the Nintex Platform to create a centralized repository, standardize forms and records, and automate dozens of workflows (with plans for around 100) for projects, jobs, assets and client management. The solution enabled templated document generation with inherited metadata, automated notifications and CRM reminders—resulting in centralized, searchable data, improved job tracking, greater accuracy and better access to mission‑critical records.
