Abu Dhabi Department of Transport Ramps Efficiency by 80% with the Nintex Platform

The Abu Dhabi Department of Transport (DoT) modernized an aging 2007 SharePoint intranet that forced its 800+ staff into paper-based approvals, emails and phone calls to track requests—causing errors, delays and lost productivity as the organization managed growing transport and infrastructure demands. To address these issues the DoT engaged Nintex partner Emitac to move to a paperless, workflow-driven environment.

Using the Nintex Platform the DoT automated workflows for application access, change requests, visas, meeting-room bookings and office supplies (adoption grew from an initial 10 planned workflows to 45). Results included an 80% efficiency gain for application access approvals (cutting 3–5 day turnarounds to one day for ~100 monthly IT requests), document-change processing falling from seven days to three or less, and tighter, budget-controlled office-supply ordering.
