Government Council Transforms its BPM Program with Nintex Promapp®

Kiama Municipal Council, on Australia’s South Coast, provides services from traditional local government to holiday parks and aged care. With very few processes mapped, the council faced widespread inefficiencies and needed clarity on what they do and how they do it before applying lean improvements — so they chose Promapp as a user-friendly BPM tool to expose and address inefficiencies.

Promapp was rolled out quickly through executive and staff sessions and by training in-house Promapp champions. In the first 12 months the council mapped 200+ processes, created a culture of continuous improvement and saved the equivalent of about one full‑time employee; examples include cutting supplier-registration time by roughly four hours each (≈200 hours/year) and reducing tree‑pruning application time from 48 to 18 days.
