The City of Vidalia Drives Security and Compliance with NinjaOne

City of Vidalia, Louisiana—a small municipal government of ~4,000 residents with about 100 endpoints and a three-person IT team—faced a 2019 ransomware incident and needed better visibility, control, and compliance across City Hall, police, fire, utilities and other departments. To regain control, the City of Vidalia purchased NinjaOne, deploying Endpoint Management, Patch Management, and Ticketing to centralize and secure their environment.

NinjaOne automated daily scans, patching, weekly workstation reboots, live asset inventory, and ticket creation, was deployed to all endpoints within 30 days, and integrated Webroot for antivirus and DNS filtering. The solution eliminated 20–30 hours of travel per week, removed manual audit processes, freed nearly an entire employee salary for higher‑value work, and enabled rapid security actions (e.g., disabling SMBv1, stopping vulnerable services), improved compliance via BitLocker key collection and MFA enforcement, and delivered more proactive remote support.
