COF leaves Personify to evolve with Nimble AMS

The Council on Foundations (COF) is a nonprofit leadership association that supports grantmaking foundations and corporations. As COF evolved, its legacy AMS (Personify) became a bottleneck—staff couldn’t access or import data without IT, needed expensive customizations to configure the system, and faced costly, complex upgrades that had to be rebuilt each release.

COF migrated to Nimble AMS on the Salesforce platform (project completed August 2017), gaining a cloud-based, extensible system that integrates with third-party apps. The change empowered staff to self-administer and run reports, improved data integrity and easy bulk imports (eliminating prior $10k import costs), increased operational efficiency and member self-service, and cut ongoing support and development costs roughly in half.
