Ensurem, a Clearwater, FL–based health insurance brokerage serving seniors, needed a way to securely share sensitive customer data across 100+ remote agents working nationwide. Because Slack is not HIPAA compliant out of the box, Ensurem was at risk of exposing PHI (social security numbers, bank routing numbers, health information) while routing customers to the right licensed agent — so they adopted Nightfall Enterprise for Slack (Nightfall DLP) to protect data and meet HIPAA and insurer requirements.

Nightfall deployed automated DLP scanning in Slack that detects real SSNs via a live database, quarantines risky messages, enforces custom rules, and alerts admins to potential incidents. By using Nightfall, Ensurem reduced the risk of data exfiltration, maintained HIPAA compliance with Medicare and carrier requirements, and enabled faster, secure agent collaboration across time zones — while retaining quick support and collaboration with Nightfall’s team.
