Aaron’s, Inc., a leading retail leasing company with over 12,000 employees, relied on Slack for company-wide communications but found manual supervision impossible across time zones. Concerned about accidental leaks of company and customer data, Stuart Lane (Information Security Engineer) sought a DLP solution and implemented Nightfall’s DLP for Slack to provide real-time protection and policy enforcement.

Nightfall was deployed immediately with minimal tuning, using machine learning to Discover, Classify, and Protect Slack messages—scanning over 25 detectors (PII, IP addresses, etc.) and supporting custom rules for inappropriate content. Nightfall gave Aaron’s real-time visibility, automated detection and response (quarantine or automated workflows), configurable notifications to reinforce policies, and a low-friction integration experience with responsive customer service, effectively removing the need for manual monitoring.
