Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum launches interactive shipbuilding game with Night Kitchen Interactive

Night Kitchen Interactive partnered with the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum to create an engaging digital experience that would educate visitors on 17th-century shipbuilding methods used for the Maryland Dove reconstruction project happening in their boatshop.

The solution was an interactive shipbuilding game, installed on large touchscreens and tablets, which allows visitors to design, build, and customize their own 3D ship before sending it on a virtual voyage. This hands-on activity successfully teaches about tools, terminology, and the challenges of historical shipbuilding. Night Kitchen Interactive's installation enhances the physical exhibit, enabling visitors to learn while watching the real ship being built and share their custom creations online.
