Area Four, a Boston neighborhood restaurant group known for fresh, locally sourced food, artisanal pizzas, and house-made pastries, wanted to build awareness and relationships in its new South End location. General Manager Tyler Smith was looking for a way to introduce the restaurant to local patrons and nearby businesses, and he found Nift’s invitation-only network of local companies and customers to be a strong fit for that goal.

With Nift, Area Four created a $25 gift card offer for new customers and used Nift cards to thank its own patrons with gifts to other local businesses. The program helped Area Four bring in 113 new customers each month, generate 155 to 160 new faces weekly, and drive repeat visits, with 21% returning within a month. Customers spent an average of $60.09 per visit, or 140% of the gift value, and 90% said they would recommend Area Four, showing that Nift helped the restaurant fill tables, build word of mouth, and strengthen neighborhood connections.
