Case Study: Coop achieves standardized, compliant labeling with NiceLabel

A NiceLabel Case Study

Preview of the Coop Case Study

Swiss food manufacturer uses NiceLabel to standardize labeling

Coop, the second-largest retailer in Switzerland, needed to standardize labeling across its many production sites and bakeries. With seven different labeling systems, hard-coded formats, no central version history, and a heavy IT burden, the company struggled to keep labels consistent, compliant, and reproducible. Coop turned to NiceLabel and its LMS Enterprise platform to address these challenges.

NiceLabel implemented a centralized labeling solution integrated with SAP ECC and SAP MII, with centrally managed templates, approval workflows, and label printing from Windows and Android hand terminals. The result was accurate, consistent labels, no unauthorized changes, and full compliance with regional and regulatory requirements, all through one standardized approach across Coop’s bakeries and production companies. NiceLabel also supported multilingual allergen and nutrition labeling and enabled more reliable printing across 600+ printers.
