Helping Boehringer Ingelheim create a global, standardized labeling process

Boehringer Ingelheim, a global pharmaceutical company, needed a standardized labeling process across its many production sites. The company was dealing with disparate labeling systems, manual change control, limited quality assurance, and a lack of centralized label data and reporting. To address these challenges, it turned to NiceLabel and its NiceLabel LMS labeling platform.

NiceLabel implemented an enterprise label management system integrated with SAP ECC using the NiceLabel ABAP package, giving Boehringer Ingelheim a single source of truth for label data and a fully digitized approval and quality control process. The result was faster processing of change requests, lower risk of labeling errors, and a scalable global labeling tool that could support standardization across sites, with initial rollouts in Ingelheim and Sant Cugat and plans to expand further.
