A NICE Public Safety & Justice Case Study
Sacramento Regional Fire/EMS Communications Center (SRFECC), the third largest fire dispatch center in California, handles roughly 500,000 calls and dispatches over 200,000 incidents annually for 10 fire/EMS agencies across more than 1,000 square miles. To support frequent multi‑agency responses and prepare for P25/NG9‑1‑1, SRFECC needed reliable, easy‑to‑use recording, instant playback and incident reconstruction that covered 9‑1‑1, VoIP, IP radio, text communications, centralized redundant storage and fast retrieval—so they turned to NICE Public Safety & Justice and its NICE Inform and recording solutions.
NICE Public Safety & Justice implemented NICE recording (including Motorola P25 IP radio and VIPER IP 911 integrations), NICE Inform instant replay and Organizer, screen recording and QA tools, plus redundant storage and secure cross‑agency access. The deployment sped multimedia assembly and export (eliminating manual CD duplication), improved incident investigation efficiency and communications quality, and made data sharing and QA simpler and more reliable. SRFECC has maintained a partnership with NICE for over a decade and reports measurable benefits in investigation speed, storage reliability and cross‑agency collaboration—complementing SRFECC’s operational achievements (179 lives saved in 2016 and APCO’s 2016 Technology Leadership Award).
