South Yorkshire Police uses NICE Investigate Digital Evidence Management as a Platform for Change

South Yorkshire Police faced fragmented, time-consuming digital-evidence processes—officers and investigators had to log into multiple systems, travel to collect CCTV, copy and transcode video, and manage slow disclosure to prosecutors. To address this, the force selected the cloud-based NICE Investigate solution from NICE Public Safety & Justice as part of its Technology Enabled Change initiative.

NICE Public Safety & Justice deployed NICE Investigate to about 2,000 frontline officers, investigators and control-room staff, providing a single-login platform that auto-pulls evidence from records management, CAD, body-worn video and mobile apps into electronic case folders, plus a business portal for registered CCTV with secure links and automatic transcoding. The implementation has cut manual handling, jump-started case-building, improved officer efficiency and collaboration, and sped electronic evidence sharing with the Crown Prosecution Service.
