NICE Investigate is helping the police force to be more efficient and agile

Nottinghamshire Police, the territorial force for Nottinghamshire and the city of Nottingham, faced a massive rise in digital evidence and the complexity of locating material stored across disparate systems while needing to modernise to provide the best service to victims and communities. To address this, the force selected the Digital Evidence Management Solution (DEMS) — NICE Investigate from NICE Public Safety & Justice.

NICE Public Safety & Justice integrated NICE Investigate with Nottinghamshire’s NicheRMS, trained 80 in-force super-users, and centralized CCTV, body-worn video, interview recordings and other digital assets for desk-based review, editing, redaction and secure sharing. The deployment delivered measurable efficiencies — faster CCTV collection, more officer time for specialist work, greater transparency and completeness of evidence for the CPS, quicker remand decisions that better protect victims — and has spurred wider adoption across units such as the new drone team.
