Lancashire Constabulary Uses NICE Investigate to Engage Businesses, Residents and Authorities to Prosecute Crimes Faster

Lancashire Constabulary, the county police force serving nearly 1.5 million people in England, faced a growing challenge to manage rising volumes of digital evidence from a new body‑worn video rollout, speed up sharing with the Crown Prosecution Service, improve engagement with residents, businesses and partner agencies, and reduce officer administrative burden. To address this, the force adopted NICE Public Safety & Justice’s digital evidence management solution, NICE Investigate.

NICE Public Safety & Justice implemented NICE Investigate fully integrated with the constabulary’s BWV, STORM command and NICE Inform systems and launched a Community Portal for CCTV and other digital evidence, supported by training for over 2,300 officers. The result: evidence sharing to the CPS fell from 3–5 days to under an hour, each evidence request via NICE Investigate conservatively saves one hour of admin, and officers avoid unnecessary journeys — delivering measurable time, cost and resource savings.
