A NICE Public Safety & Justice Case Study

Preview of the Bucks County, Pennsylvania Case Study

Improving 9-1-1 Investigations with Faster and More Credible Incident Reconstruction

Bucks County, Pennsylvania’s Department of Emergency Communications — serving over 600,000 residents, 130+ emergency agencies and about a million calls annually — needed to replace an outdated call and radio recording system, introduce formalized quality assurance and speed up complaint and incident investigations. To meet these needs the County selected NICE Public Safety & Justice, deploying communications recording tied to their VESTA M1 and radio systems plus 911 operator screen capture and NICE Inform Verify for instant replay.

NICE Public Safety & Justice synchronized call, radio and screen recordings, added a QA evaluation module and intuitive search/playback tools so supervisors, trainers and records staff can quickly retrieve evidence and replay short screen clips (often 5 minutes) instead of mining CAD logs. The solution delivered faster, more credible incident reconstruction, improved efficiency of internal investigations, stronger quality assurance processes and greater employee accountability, enabling quicker responses to complaints and prosecutor requests.
