Hampshire Constabulary Leaps into the Digital Age with NICE Investigate

Hampshire Constabulary was struggling with rapidly increasing volumes of digital evidence, slow manual processes for collecting, processing and sharing footage, file-size limits when sending material to the CPS, and risks to officer safety from in-person evidence collection during the pandemic. To modernize its digital evidence workflow it partnered with NICE Public Safety & Justice and deployed the NICE Investigate solution.

NICE Public Safety & Justice implemented NICE Investigate (part of the Evidencentral suite on Azure) to automate ingestion and case building, enable remote CCTV and citizen uploads, integrate NicheRMS, Reveal and Fotoware, and provide secure, link‑based redaction and sharing with the CPS. The system is used by over 2,000 officers monthly and has delivered projected annual officer-time savings of £846k, removed file-size barriers, reduced face‑to‑face evidence collection and streamlined evidence sharing.
