Warrington and Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust worked with NHS Employers to address a growing issue among its 4,200 staff: stress and sickness absence linked to personal money worries. The trust wanted to support staff financial wellbeing and explore a reward offer that could help employees with financial concerns, including access to affordable borrowing and education.

NHS Employers helped WHH introduce Neyber’s financial wellbeing platform and payroll-linked affordable loan service, supported by articles, tools, podcasts and resources. The scheme was launched through multiple internal communications and integrated with payroll processes; results show 5.5% of staff took out a loan and more than 10% accessed the platform, with the trust now monitoring impact and considering further expansion, including a payroll savings scheme.
