NHS Employers worked with the trust and a group of other London NHS trusts to redraft the national guidance and implement new streamlined procedures. This solution included automating processes with their e-recruitment supplier, introducing ID scanning technology, and revising reference and health questionnaires. As a result, the average time from a conditional to an unconditional job offer dropped dramatically from 41 days to just 8 days. This improvement saved an estimated £1,200 per vacancy, leading to a saving of approximately £50,000 per month for the trust.
