South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust - Customer Case Study

NHS Employers worked with South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to help increase staff flu vaccination uptake. The challenge was to find a creative and effective way to incentivize staff and reward them for getting vaccinated to protect themselves and their patients.

The solution implemented by NHS Employers involved providing small rewards, such as free hot drink vouchers, branded pull reels, lanyards, and pens. This strategy generated positive conversations and acted as an advertising tool. As a result, NHS Employers helped the trust achieve a significant increase in vaccination rates, from 64.6% to 76%, and increased footfall in the hospital restaurant.
