A NHS Employers Case Study
Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust worked with NHS Employers to improve staff engagement as part of its push for an outstanding CQC rating and a stronger NHS National Staff Survey score. The trust wanted to raise engagement from 3.67 to 4 or above while improving leadership, culture, and the overall well-led category.
NHS Employers supported the trust with a staff engagement tube map, leadership development through the “Leading the LCHS Way” programme, and wider cultural and engagement initiatives. The approach helped the trust achieve an overall CQC rating of outstanding, while staff engagement rose to 3.85 in 2017 and early pulse checks reached 3.98, putting the trust close to its target of 4 or above.
