How Belfius Became the #1 Mobile Bank in Belgium

Belfius Bank, aiming to become Belgium’s leading mobile bank, faced the challenge of turning large volumes of mobile-derived customer data into timely, personalized experiences rather than one-size-fits-all campaigns. To accelerate its mobile-first strategy and personalize interactions, Belfius partnered with NGDATA and deployed NGDATA’s IEP along with real-time Customer DNA profiling to unify customer data and enable targeted engagement.

NGDATA built individual Customer DNA profiles and implemented next-best-offer use cases (starting with pension savings), producing strong, measurable results: mobile pension deposit share rose from 30% to 60% in a year, net deposits grew 40% year-over-year, pension savings deposits doubled, pension savings and car insurance sales via the NGDATA IEP outperformed other channels by factors of 1.2 and 2.4, and the IEP’s “Car Loan Flow” triggered 46% of all customers who ever made a sales request (loan-flow conversions reached 17% vs. 1.8% outside flows). NGDATA’s solution also powered Belfius’ award-winning mobile app and is being expanded across the bank’s top product lines to optimize omni-channel interactions.
