The Washington State Department of Enterprise Services (DES) provides centralized facilities, accounting, HR, risk management and other support services for state and municipal agencies. Facing a disparate application landscape, legacy systems and the need to eliminate redundancies while improving service quality and reducing costs, DES engaged NGDATA and leveraged NGDATA’s partner Informatica’s Data Integration Hub to reengineer how the State manages and delivers those services.
NGDATA implemented a hub‑based, publish‑and‑subscribe integration using Informatica’s Data Integration Hub so applications publish data once for multiple subscribers, removing point‑to‑point interfaces. The results included an HRMS process reduced from multiple days to minutes, enhanced data consistency and synchronization, improved IT resource utilization, shortened development cycles and faster time‑to‑market—demonstrating the validity of NGDATA’s approach.
