Fortune 50 US Retail Bank, with millions of mobile users and partnerships with thousands of merchants, needed to increase coupon redemption by delivering real-time, location‑based personalized offers to credit‑card holders. The bank engaged NGDATA to provide a solution that could profile customers from internal transaction and mobile logs plus external social data and serve recommendations at scale.
NGDATA deployed its IEP (including ETL connectors, a Big Data Repository, real‑time Recommendation Engines using collaborative‑filtering and knowledge‑based approaches, APIs and analytics connectors to SAS/R) to power the bank’s mobile app and admin screens. The integrated solution enabled real‑time propensity scoring and offer delivery, tracking of redemption rates across merchants, and produced a 50%–100% lift in coupon redemptions for the bank.
