Taking Fashion PLM in New Directions with NGC

Rocky Brands, a U.S.-based designer and manufacturer of outdoor, work, lifestyle and military footwear and apparel (brands include Rocky, Georgia Boot, Durango and Creative Recreation), needed to boost productivity, reduce data errors and speed time to market across design, production, marketing and e‑commerce. The company sought better integration between PLM and ERP, more accurate product data for web and marketing channels, and streamlined shipping and inventory processes.

Working with NGC, Rocky extended PLM into marketing, e‑commerce and line planning with the “Step‑It‑Up” initiative, implemented real‑time ERP item master integration, and deployed NGC’s ezSHIP packing/scanning solution. The changes created a single source of product data, eliminated redundant entry and data errors, accelerated P.O. delivery to vendors, improved shipping accuracy and inventory management, and materially shortened production and go‑to‑market timelines.
