Carter’s, the largest branded marketer of apparel for babies and young children and owner of Carter’s and OshKosh B’gosh, turned to long-time partner NGC to improve vendor management across several hundred seasonal factories. The challenge was to replace Excel-based invoice and payment processes with a secure, auditable system that supports three-way matching (PO, ASN, invoice), provides payment-status visibility to suppliers, and interfaces with Carter’s accounts payable and general ledger.

Carter’s implemented NGC’s Vendor Payment Module within its Supply Chain Management platform to automate commercial invoice and packing list creation, enforce audit and approval controls, and centralize payment data. The solution eliminated spreadsheet workflows, gave stakeholders and factories real-time payment visibility, improved control and tracking, and delivered measurable productivity and efficiency gains while paving the way for further vendor-master-data enhancements.
