Major Health Trust Moves To Desk Booking With Rendezvous

Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust, a busy UK health trust operating two acute hospitals and community services, needed a better way to manage more than 5,000 staff and a wide range of spaces. Its existing room-booking process relied on spreadsheets, paper, and Outlook, making it time-consuming and difficult to support the Trust’s shift toward more agile working. The Trust turned to NFS Technology and its Rendezvous room, desk and resource management software to simplify booking and improve visibility.

NFS Technology implemented Rendezvous Workspace with tailored access for administrators and self-service users, supported through the cloud and a mobile-friendly QuickBook app. The solution enabled faster room booking, improved resource management and reporting, and helped increase space utilization while reducing reliance on hardware. The Trust also benefits from 99.8% system availability on Microsoft Azure and 24/7 support from NFS Technology, with QR-code check-in functionality planned to further improve utilization data.
