Nextracker and CleanMax Solar Push Plant Performance Forward

CleanMax Solar, one of India’s leading solar developers, needed to build a 30 MW grid-connected solar farm in Tamil Nadu on land with high dust levels, uneven terrain, and other site constraints typical of utility-scale projects in India. To help address these challenges, the company selected Nextracker and its NX Horizon single-axis tracker system for the Eluvanampatti solar farm.

Nextracker implemented its NX Horizon trackers with sealed drive and electrical components, independent unlinked-row architecture, and local deployment support to improve buildability and reliability. The result was a plant that is generating 15% more energy than standard fixed-tilt systems in Tamil Nadu, 3% above third-party simulation, while also avoiding about 38,500 tons of CO2 emissions per year and reducing project risk and construction complexity.
