Nextracker and Biosar Power Up Brazil’s Largest Solar Project

Biosar served as the EPC for the Pirapora solar project in Minas Gerais, Brazil, a three-phase utility-scale build approaching 400 MW. The project faced major challenges from its remote location, difficult terrain, and the need to meet Brazil’s local content and delivery requirements, while Nextracker provided locally manufactured NX Horizon single-axis tracker systems.

Nextracker delivered thousands of NX Horizon trackers, supported by onsite installation and commissioning teams, and helped build out a reliable local supply chain for Brazil. The solution improved constructability, energy yield, and O&M efficiency, and the project is expected to avoid 511,927 tons of CO2 emissions per year while creating jobs and helping establish Brazil’s solar manufacturing base.
