Case Study: Marvin Engineering Protects Sensitive Aerospace IP with NextLabs EDRM

A NextLabs Case Study

Preview of the Marvin Engineering Case Study

Marvin Engineering - Customer Case Study

Marvin Engineering, a defense and aerospace equipment supplier, needed to tightly control access to sensitive product and IP data shared with partners, subcontractors, and government customers. Because its work is subject to export regulations like ITAR and EAR, the company had to ensure only authorized users could view critical information and prevent data leakage or misuse. To address this, Marvin Engineering chose NextLabs Enterprise Digital Rights Management (EDRM) for Teamcenter.

NextLabs implemented its EDRM solution, which integrates natively with Siemens Teamcenter to enforce dynamic, attribute-based access controls based on context such as user, location, time, and device. The solution automatically encrypts sensitive data, supports secure viewing through a browser or mobile app, and provides centralized policy management plus real-time audit and monitoring. As a result, Marvin Engineering now protects critical data across its extended enterprise and has deployed the solution for 1,000 users, with plans to expand controls further to reduce internal misuse.
