Valley Care IPA, a physician network in Oxnard, CA with about 70 providers across 27 practices, outgrew a small local hosting vendor as California reporting requirements and interoperability needs increased. The previous host allowed unvetted changes, relied on complex third‑party servers, and delivered slow response times and unreliable performance that hampered staff and patient care.

In February 2015 Valley Care migrated to NextGen Managed Cloud Services and adopted an integrated NextGen solution set (EHR, practice management, document management, patient portal, interfaces and mobile tools). The move delivered smoother, lower‑cost upgrades, dramatically less downtime, improved performance and staff satisfaction, reduced customization needs for easier reporting, and a more collaborative, change‑controlled partnership.
