LUXITH G.I.E. Leverages Mirth Connect to Maintain Seamless Interoperability Across Luxembourg

LUXITH G.I.E. is the national IT unit of the Federation of Luxembourg Hospitals, providing shared IT services, software and infrastructure to general and specialty hospitals, diagnostics centers and the Ministry of Health. Faced with fragmented integrations, disparate systems and multiple Mirth Connect licenses, LUXITH needed a way to centralize and secure patient data exchange—particularly for a national breast cancer screening program—to prevent data silos and ensure reliable communication between healthcare actors.

They consolidated Mirth Connect licenses into a single national Platinum contract with Advanced Clustering, deployed a primary/secondary cluster for high availability, and implemented encrypted data flows and format transformation services. As a result, screening appointment and imaging data are centralized and accessible across hospitals and the Ministry, communication between organizations is clearer and secure, interoperability is streamlined, and smaller centers benefit from the same robust exchange and support infrastructure.
