Rocking Horse Community Health Center (Springfield, OH) is a federally qualified CHC and patient-centered medical home serving more than 13,500 patients with a focus on children’s behavioral health. As the center expanded its services, it needed a single, secure EHR/PM system to maintain comprehensive patient records, capture sensitive behavioral health data, and meet state charting and reporting requirements.

Rocking Horse deployed NextGen Ambulatory EHR, NextGen Practice Management and OSIS FQHC support to centralize records, enable e-prescribing, track medications and run patient registries for proactive follow-up. The system improved medication reconciliation and refill workflows, helped all providers attest to Meaningful Use Stage 1, ensured compliance with Ohio Department of Mental Health reporting, and supported continued expansion of therapeutic services.
