Reno Sparks Tribal Health Center is a tribally owned clinic on the Reno‑Sparks Indian Colony that provides medical, dental, behavioral, and specialty services to a largely uninsured and high‑risk Native American population. When the business office manager arrived in 2019, billing and financial operations were disorganized—claims were delayed or voided, communication was poor, and the clinic faced mounting accounts receivable and existential financial risk.
In May 2020 the clinic implemented NextGen RCM Services, standardizing processes, increasing automation (80–90% EFT/ERA), and adding hands‑on client management support. Results included claims creation lag falling from ~40 to 8 days, claim payment time from 180+ to 60–90 days, outstanding A/R dropping from $3.8M to below $2M, and gross collection rate for adjudicated claims rising from 34% to 63%—helping the clinic sustain services through COVID‑19.
