A NextGen Healthcare Case Study

Preview of the Tallahassee Ear, Nose, and Throat Case Study

An early adopter builds on two decades of success

Tallahassee Ear, Nose, and Throat (TENT) is an eight-provider practice in Tallahassee, FL, founded in 1986 and an early adopter of electronic health records. Over two decades of partnership with NextGen Healthcare, TENT faced the challenge of evolving beyond basic EHR use to a tailored, integrated system that could support practice management, meet Meaningful Use and patient engagement requirements, and keep the practice current amid constant industry change.

TENT implemented NextGen Ambulatory EHR, NextGen Practice Management, and the NextGen Patient Portal, then built a specialty library of roughly 400 practice-specific templates and moved to the NextGen Knowledge Base Model. As a result, all providers attested for Meaningful Use 1 and 2, patients receive individualized care plans, and the practice reports improved patient satisfaction and streamlined workflows.
