Adult & Child Health Delivers Whole-Person Community Care to Central Indiana

Adult & Child Health is a Central Indiana community mental health center and FQHC look‑alike that delivers whole‑person primary, behavioral, school‑based, and child welfare services. The organization struggled with fragmented care because it ran separate EHRs for behavioral health and primary care—resulting in duplicate charts, portals, and billing, limited cross‑provider visibility, and barriers to integrated treatment, an issue made more urgent by rising pandemic‑era mental health needs.

A&C implemented the NextGen suite (Enterprise EHR and PM, Population Health, Mobile, Virtual Visits, Financial & Operational Analytics, and managed services) to unify records and workflows. The single platform enabled same‑visit handoffs between primary and behavioral care, mobile documentation for street and school‑based outreach, integrated virtual visits, proactive population health outreach to close care gaps and improve HRSA metrics, and clearer operational and financial insights—boosting access, coordination, and quality across Central Indiana.
