Case Study: Amnesty International in Spain achieves secure collaboration and data control with Nextcloud

A Nextcloud Case Study

How Nextcloud protects the data of Amnesty International in Spain

Amnesty International in Spain, an NGO with over 100,000 partners and activists, faced challenges with its outdated file-sharing system. Their inability to securely share large files, collaborate efficiently, and enable remote work led them to seek a new solution. They turned to Nextcloud to implement a self-hosted content collaboration platform that would give them full control over their data.

Nextcloud provided an on-premises solution that was deployed in about a week. The implementation enabled secure file sharing, real-time document collaboration, and remote access for employees and activists. The result was a significant increase in teamwork efficiency and data security. Amnesty International in Spain now has a flexible platform, known internally as "the cloud," which they plan to further enhance with Nextcloud's on-premises AI capabilities.
