Case Study: UCLA achieves flexible, scalable storage with Nexsan E-Series

A Nexsan Case Study

Preview of the UCLA Case Study

UCLA deploys Nexsan storage in 8 months and scales to several petabytes

The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) operates a fee-for-service IT model, requiring a storage solution that was reliable, highly dense to fit in limited space, flexible for growth, and inexpensive enough to be resold competitively against large cloud providers. Nexsan provided its E-Series storage systems to meet this complex challenge.

Nexsan implemented a solution using E-Series Model E60 systems configured into five high-density storage pods. The results included excellent performance and ultra-reliability with only a single drive failure and no downtime in over a year. The acquisition and operational costs were lower than other options, enabling UCLA to provide superior service to its users while meeting its ambitious business and technical goals.
