Revision3 Relies On Nexsan Speed & Reliability for Video Production & Backup

Revision3, the San Francisco–based Internet video network, needed a more efficient storage solution to keep up with rapidly growing video production and backup demands. Its existing Apple Xsan SAN environment had to support direct-to-SAN recording and editing with Final Cut Pro, while also meeting requirements for reliability, high performance, ease of use, and low power consumption. Revision3 turned to Nexsan and its E-Series storage systems, specifically the Nexsan E60, for a solution that would fit seamlessly into its existing infrastructure.

Nexsan implemented two E60 systems for Revision3: one for primary storage and one for backup. The deployment delivered 240TB in 4U, high availability, and fast, intuitive management, while AutoMAID technology reduced power and cooling costs on the backup unit by conserving energy during inactive periods. Revision3 reported rapid installation without disrupting productivity and “blazing fast transfer rates” to the editing bays, while also gaining significant space efficiency and improved reliability for its video production workflow.
